About
Here at Black Jack Get-A-Way you can visit the real bush. With true country, yet professional hospitality, you can enjoy the magical surrounds of the Flinders Ranges with top quality Bed and Breakfast as good as of home away from home.
G'Day, my name is Susan Woolford (nee Parnell), your host here at Black Jack Get-A-Way. I am fifth generation of the Parnell family who were among the original pioneers of Orroroo. I started back in 2001 with one Bed a Breakfast and now have grown to four Bed and Breakfast and the Blacksmith's Chatter, seminar function centre.
The friendly town of Orroroo (aboriginal word for Rendezvous of the Magpies) is well located 3 hours north of Adelaide, "where the dramatic red soils, rolling blue bush hummocks and large gum creeks of the pastoral regions merge with the tamer greens and gold's of the cropping lands". Extract from the Orroroo History Book Rendezvous of the Magpie - Author: Nancy Parnell.
It is also centrally located in our region with easy access to Wilpena Pound, Burra, Clare Valley, Melrose and Port Augusta.
Packages can be arranged to suit your group from accommodation to evening meals at the Function Centre “Blacksmith’s Chatter” to arranging the local community bus for your group to travel around and see the local area to booking tours and tourist activities.
So come to Orroroo and enjoy an easy country Get-A-Way.
